I have a wise lesson for people out there who do read my logs. Don’t ever think that you can trust on weatherlogic. Yesterday started colder than today and I expected that some parts of my route would be slippery. So every turn I took I increased my attention to the road to prevent myself from slipping away — in the meanwhile I saw a stiff (dead) sheep which got stuck in a ditch and was completely frozen, not cool to see — very sensible to do, but pretty useless when the conclusion at the end is that it wasn’t slippery at all.
Fine, today it was less cold than yesterday. Again stepped onto my bicycle and started cycling towards my destination. Again I saw the sheep even more frozen still standing in the ditch — and will keep standing there if nobody takes action ofcourse. Actually the fact that he was even more frozen should’ve been a hint towards me, but ok. I was almost at my destination when I had the feeling I had to sneeze. I had a inner discussion about whether I should sneeze or not and that’s not what you should do when you again have to take a turn. My bicycle slipped away and ofcourse I had no other choice. I was laying on the ground, but luckily no real damage to myself. I stood up and stepped onto my bike and cycled further and could laugh about my stupid action. So, the simple conclusion of this great experience is: always pay attention to the road and expect the unexpected. |
